On the metal stairs at the Berlin-Karlshorst train station, between the S-Bahn and regional train platforms, our faithful correspondent Martin Hill “tripped over” this specimen on his way to work.On second thought, he notes, he didn’t trip over it at all, and neither did anyone else, apparently. “Every day, hundreds of commuters walk through here — and yet a tender little plant is growing peacefully,” Martin writes. “I have to wonder if the people perceive it subconsciously and respect its existence, so that it can thrive ‘undisturbed.'”
Can anyone identify the plant? I’m thinking hops or berries?
