I was already planning to celebrate the recent appearance of this year’s first snowdrops with a post of some sort. Then I found out that my friend Eric Larson, manager of Yale’s Marsh Botanical Garden, introduces this little white early bird of a flower in the latest video he’s hosted for an internet project called GardenClips.
These bite-sized horticultural YouTube videos let you take a one-minute break from your day to see some interesting plants and learn about growing them. The Gardenclips team – Eric, Heidi and Patrick – have posted dozens of videos at Gardenclips.com. The videos may appear to be less about urban plants than about idyllic suburban gardening, but actually, they are produced in or near New Haven, Connecticut, a decidedly urban area.
