Do you see urban plants in this picture? What about graffiti?
My sharp-eyed sister Phoebe did. She observed some interesting sidewalk phenomena during a recent visit to our childhood home:
“Taking a walk through the residential roads of my parents’ town, I came across this faded crop of “flowers” adorning a mailbox. At the foot of the post, greenery had found a damp refuge in the grooves of a cheekily etched monogram.”
In case you still don’t see it, here’s a closeup of the graffiti:
Phoebe notes: “A lovely juxtaposition of prim, domesticated posies and the defiant, albeit soggy, green mark of some budding suburban anarchist.”
Thank you, Phoebe, for this report from suburbia!
