Artist Klaus Harth wrote to tell us he was capturing urban plants in Vienna long before Urban Plant Research came into existence. He is a reader of one of our favorite blogs, Balkon & Garten, and as of this week, one of our readers too.
He shared with us some photos from a series he took in Vienna back in 2002. He was just walking through the streets with his camera, and “the idea quickly emerged to always have something green in the middle of the photos. Vienna would then, without any fuss and practically automatically, just happen to the left and the right. And then suddenly one is met by Happiness in the form of a truck loaded with young trees…”
If you’d like to see more, the whole series is here on his website.
Thanks, Klaus, for sharing your eye for green things.
