Open green space behind the building that crosses right over Gubener Straße.
Though I know it’s an infinitely useful tool for designers and artists, I admit it: I am not practiced in drawing. I’ve depended for years on my camera to document what I see and let my limited drawing skills atrophy. But as soon as Sara and I started this project, I started seeing plants that I just had to try to draw. It’s a bit of a struggle for me, but I can also feel as I draw that I’m focusing more in my looking and seeing more carefully and clearly. So though they’re still far from wonderful, I’m going to start posting some of the sketches here.
This sketch is of a hidden green space I really like, with old trees of great individual character. I hope to go back and draw again, until I can draw well enough to really show what it is I see there.
