Opening today: an exhibition of artists with close relationships to plants, organized by the Horticultural Society of New York and hosted by the UBS Gallery. On the invitation card, my attention went to names I know – Felix Gonzalez-Torres, Nick Cave, William Eggleston, but in the press release, artists I don’t know – particularly Roman Signer and Pipilotti Rist, both from Switzerland – caught my eye.
After tonight’s opening reception (6-8pm), the show is open 8am-6pm Monday through Friday, through October 31. Admission is free. The UBS Gallery is located at 1285 Avenue of the Americas (between 51st and 52nd Streets) – a bit far away for me, but I hope Sara will go and report.
