A friendly neighbor appears to have turned a leafless urban plant into a corn tree for hungry winter birds. Have you spotted any urban trees turned into bird feeders?

nice, “for the birds” makes me think about the book by John Cage and Daniel Charles… For the Birds: In Conversation With Daniel Charles, MARION BOYERS INC.
Thanks for the tip – I haven’t read this book but Artspace New Haven, a community art gallery I work for, hosted a huge bird-themed exhibition that was probably named after this book.
Sweet! I’ll keep an eye out for urban trees with bird feeders. I can’t say that I recall seeing any in Chicago. Perhaps I need to take action with my own hands.
That sounds great – would be happy to see documentation of found or Matt-made bird feeders.
