
I recently photographed ivy and a billboard contributing their own graffiti to the side of a building above the Prospect Highway…

and now that it is autumn, the ivy shows off its amazing powers of camouflage!

Upon closer inspection, I was astonished at how multi-colored the ivy actually was.

In fact, the wall reminded me very much of a densely layered, spray-painted/drip-painted canvas from the 80’s!
The display of colors are fantastic! After seeing your pictures, my eyes must have been super-sensitized to plant-graffiti interactions because I spotted some pretty wacky ones myself, near the Engelbecken reflecting pool in Kreuzberg. They are on a roll of film that I still have to finish and develop, so it will be awhile until I can post them – stay tuned!
